Ever UGG Miracle Moccasin with Special Flower Fragrance

Winter is upon us and it was like it knew it and hit with a vengeance.  From June the 1st we have had icy temperatures and winds and just very cold days and nights.

Ever UGG Miracle Moccasin with Special Flower Fragrance
Ever UGG Miracle Moccasin with Special Flower Fragrance

You would think that living in the Blue Mountains has made me love the cold and winters but that is so very wrong, I long for the summer days and the warm weather and to keep happy during this freezing time I am happier with toasty warm feet, a roaring fire and a nice warm drink to keep my super warm.

I was very pleased when UGG Express sent me some of their new Ever UGG Miracle Moccasin’s to test out, and boy did it come at just the right time (My feet were pleased about this new addition to my wardrobe)

There are a number of bright colours to pick from and I for one normally go for black or blue, however this time I wanted to inject some colour into my world.

I was tossing up between red or purple but decided upon the purple – am more partial to blues and thought that the purple would go with my PJ’s, loungewear, and of course jeans.

When sent my request for the purple UGG Moccasin I thought it would be a bright and vibrant colour, when the shoes arrived I was eager to see the stunning colour and to try them out, however, I was relieved that they were not neon purple and a nice shade that goes with my other clothing.

My normal shoe size is 7 and a half, and lately, it seems that no one makes a half size shoe. Due to not being able to get exact I always opt for the size 8 for my feet as I believe that this will give adequate room. I am not sure if it is just due to the moccasins being new and possibly my feet being a bit swollen but I have found them to be rather tight.  However, after a while of wearing my new Purple UGG’s I have noticed that they are giving a little bit. I am not sure if I need the next size up or just to wear them more and break them in.

While wearing my new snazzy Ever UGG Miracle Moccasin‘s I have found that my feet stay so warm and it is like I am walking on a cushion of wool and air.

I live in a very cold place and lately, it is getting colder and colder by the day, and of course, my feet without shoes or socks get ice cold and therefore my whole body becomes freezing.

Doesn't the purple colour match my jeans, I love purple what about you?
Doesn’t the purple colour match my jeans, I love purple what about you?

My Ever UGG Miracle Moccasin has been a savior to ensure that my whole body is not an ice block and allows me to wear comfortable shoes inside the house and look fabulous too.

The moccasins have a great grip rubber sole that means that you will never slip or fall over while wearing them…well I have been super impressed and with a four-year-old playing and tumbling I have been able to grip to the floor and make sure that my tootsies are comfortable to boot!

Keeping warm in my new purple UGG Moccasins and relaxing with a glass of wine

My new UGG Moccasins come with a subtle fragrance of lavender, I was worried at first if this would overpowering but it is just a hint of lavender and makes the shoes smell nice even after you have been wearing them for a while.

If you are looking for a gift for mum, your wife, girlfriend, or anyone then these amazingly warm and comfortable Ever UGG Miracle Moccasin with Special Flower Fragrance would be perfect.

They are now priced at $50 and used to be $129, so that is a $79 saving.

Ever UGG Miracle Moccasin’s Will Help me Stay warm this Winter

What did I think?

  • A little snug at first but starts to loosen up (I would love to see what the size 9 feels like but happy with my purple shoes – make sure to measure your feet to ensure you get the best fit)
  • Love the bright colours
  • The wool inside makes it super soft and comfortable and my feet are always so warm
  • The bottom of the shoe has a great grip for a moccasin and since I live somewhere wet and cold this is great for the Blue Mountains.
  • I would recommend them to friends and family as they are stylish and keep your feet warm.

Non-Stop Rain Creates Chaos

We’ve had a week of torrential rain and this weekend is no different.

The weather app has said that all week we’ve had 100% chance of rain at all hours, and next week is listed as rain. Some of the rain predicted for next week is not heavy and then on some days, it looks very bad. Currently, we have been induated with water!

Don’t get me wrong. I love the rain. We desperately needed the rain but I would like to find the off switch. I don’t want to turn it off for good, just to give us a little break and allow the water that has fallen to settle and to not give us an instant pool under the pergola.

Yep, we have lots of water falling and it is causing havoc now. Apparently it is the largest downpour since the 90’s

It seems like a horrible joke from nature. It wasn’t long ago that most of the country was on fire. Many lost their homes, were evacuated and some lost their lives. We were in severe crisis. Thank goodness that the fires have been put out by this heavy rain (I believe all have, however, I could be wrong) and now we are facing another form of disaster, and that would be flooding.

Due to the nature of the heavy rain and the fact that it has not stopped many places have been flooded, these include roads, parks, houses, businesses and everything in between.

In the Blue Mountains we have had huge tree fall across the highway at Springwood and blocking half the high the highway, tree fell near the Explor’s Tree and blocking both sides of the highway, and another tree in Mount Victoria has come down blocking the highway in block directions, and in  Cliff Drive Katoomba there has been a landslide.

So due to the weather, we’ve been inside and the kids are acting horribly.

I think they secretly got together to play an evil game on mummy and daddy…the game is to see how quickly can we make mummy and daddy go crazy and lose their shit!

Currently the kids are winning and I’ve lost count on how many times I’ve lost my temper at the silly and stupid behaviour.

I do understand the kids are bored but it is getting to the point of annoyance as each kid wants to do something different, then the youngest wants to join in, then the older kids don’t want their little brother wants to join in and this doesn’t end well. Fighting ensues, yelling and the little person then lashes out with hurting his sisters. Oh, the joys of being inside due to non-stop rain!

Now if I had the stop button to give us a break from the rain I would press it now! would press the start button again I promise.  However, I would love a little break from this torrential downpour!  Maybe I could send the rain to a place that needs it and give us a break until we need some rain again?

Oh and another thought, will my plants be okay with all this rain? I know that they are probably loving it due to the heatwave we had, water restrictions and of course no rain for ages (drought), so this rain is well and truly welcomed.  A little rain would be great to help and then more, but if they get too much will this cause other issues for my garden? I do know that last time we had a huge downpour after a dry spell one of our long time trees died.  I don’t think anybody would have predicted we would be now facing flooding and rain that doesn’t stop!

I’m just hoping that all this rain is getting into our dams.  Currently, Sydney and surrounds are not at full capacity so in the days ahead lets hope that the water falls over the dam!

When the rain finally does decide to stop the soil, parks and everywhere will be so damp that taking kids to the park will not be a good idea either, it could be a possibility if they covered head to toe in wet weather gear and gumboots.

How are you faring in this wet weather? Have you been flooded? Or dealing with a blackout?

Are you coping with trying to keep the kids occupied?

Also when the rain finally decides to stop taking kids outside will be a messy experience, all the parks and grounds will be so wet and soaked. The only way they can play will be if they are covered head to toe in rain weather gear and gumboots.

Please stay safe everyone and if you don’t need to leave your house it is wise to stay indoors. I know the kids and you might already have cabin fever but you don’t want to end up stuck somewhere or in fact be caught in a flooded area.

Merry Christmas 2019

Merry Christmas everyone!

It really doesn’t feel much like Christmas, emergencies, fires, evacuations and road closures.  Not to mention the apocalyptic skies that are always with the red fire sun.

We escaped earlier for our holiday due to road closures (we were mainly concerned about road closures..if the road got blocked we couldn’t go on holiday and if there was a fire we couldn’t leave)  and impending fire that might be on its way to us. I’m sure the house will be fine, if it isn’t there is not much we can do.

Our family is spending some much-needed downtime with family on the coast, going to the beach, relaxing and just being a tourist with the kids.

The kids are super excited to open presents from Santa tomorrow and I’m keen to just relax and take it easy.

However, relaxing is not that simple on a family holiday… it’s really just looking after kids in a different place.

I am thankful for all the volunteer firefighters that are helping us all stay safe, they have given up their free time, work and time with family to help others. These people might not get a Christmas Day and be out fighting more fires.

New South Wales is suffering from the worst fire in over 50 years, South Australia is suffering from horrible fires too, plus Queensland is under siege with fires as well. Basically it seems everywhere is on fire.

Our house is residential and not near bushland but others that were residential had ember strikes and were not so lucky.  So hopefully we will be okay when we return…I truly think it will all be okay but we packed essential papers and photos just in case.

Two firefighters lost their lives helping others in this horrible crisis, these two men had young kids and will be greatly missed by their families, you can donate to help these firefighters families.

Donations of food and help are always appreciated by the volunteer firefighters, find out how you can help the NSW Firefighters

This is the time of year that I think of what we achieved, what I am grateful for and what I would like to do in the new year. Do you take a quick assessment like this too about the year that has been?

How are you spending your Christmas this year? If you have evacuated due to fires I do hope you are all safe and well.

Stay safe everyone and have a Merry Christmas.

Thanks so much for following the blog and being part of my community. I am working on some big changes for the blog in 2020 and I hope you all will love them.

Movie: The Biggest Little Farm

The girls and I were invited to the premiere of The Biggest Little Farm, Open 16th January 2020 in cinemas.

I knew it was about a husband and wife that ditch city living to start their own farm, however, I didn’t realise the size of the farm, what was involved and of course how stunning the film would be.

The kids and I were transfixed and amazed at John and Molly Chester’s journey.

John was a filmmaker and Molly was a chef to the stars,  they both lived in Los Angeles (LA) and did have a dream to one day buy a farm. However, this dream was never realised due to not enough money, not knowing how to start and of course, being busy in LA.

It wasn’t until John shot some footage about a house that was housing hundreds of dogs that he met “Todd”, a gorgeous and well-mannered dog. John couldn’t let this dog go the pound, so Molly and he adopted him.

Todd
Todd

John and Molly lived in an apartment and it really was not for dogs. When they would leave for work Todd would bark all day and these caused complaints from neighbours and finally, they got asked to leave by the landlord.

Not wanting to go to another apartment and repeat what had happened previously, Molly said that she thought that this was their time to make their farm dream a reality. The issue was still money and no land or options, but she thought that it could happen.

Both John and Molly approached friends and family and they spread the word and then finally got told about over 200 acres of land that was in desperate need of revitalisation.

When John and Molly first saw their new farm it was barren. Nothing was living there, in fact, they found dead bees, dead everything! It was miserable and depressing.

The soil was so hard it was hard to dig into and when finally cut into wouldn’t break apart as it was more like a massive big stone.

So how did they get the farm (Apricot Lane Farms)  looking green, lush, return wildlife and have the soil be so productive for crops and other plants?

“Alan York, one of the foremost experts on soil and biodynamic farming, is on hand to help them create an ecosystem. Farming, he tells them, has rhythms. It will take a few years, he says, but eventually farming will become “like surfing” to the couple.” (From Quad City Times)

With Alan’s help and advise John and Molly get more animals to help the biodynamics of the farm. The Chesters get pigs, ducks, chickens, goats and more to help the farm grow.

Greasy the Rooster and Emma the Pig
Greasy the Rooster and Emma the Pig

The first couple of years were tough but even by year two, there was a massive change in the soil and the environment. By year five many animals were creating a home on the farm. They had created a habitat for animals and plants, and it was a far cry from the drought-stricken wasteland that it started off as.

I was taken with the fact that Alan York insisted on having a ground cover for the soil – plants and grasses. In one scene there was a huge rain and wind storm that washed topsoil off others lands, but not the Chester’s. Since they had the ground cover on their soil they managed to not have the topsoil runoff and harness the water that dripped down into the aquifer to harness the water for their land.

Interview with John and Molly Chester – LRM Online

The cinematography was stunning and a few scenes were truly magical. There is a sequence when you are looking at the night sky and the stars are moving as well as the clouds, this is simply amazing to watch.

The other amazing moment is when you see a close up of a ladybug fly, it is so detailed, it is like you are right in front of these insects.

The Biggest Little Farm makes you think if a couple from LA can overcome such adversity on a drought-stricken parcel of land then it is achievable for others. Why don’t other farms use the same model? If they did I wonder how much better off they would be?

As we are facing a lack of water, hotter days and more due to climate change I believe that this film is a must to see as it shows us what can be done and how biodynamic farming is the way forward for a better environment and also healthier food.

Oh and a HUGE thank you to the amazing woman who gave us her parking ticket.

The machine was not letting me use my credit card and I, of course, had no cash. I was about to make the trip to the ATM when she said she was leaving and didn’t need it. She paid for the whole night and it made our day, thanks again.

5 stars: We loved the film, the photography was exquisite, we laughed, cried and got angry with The Chesters in times of hardship, and felt joy when their hard work paid off.

The Biggest Little Farm - One of the best documentaries I've seen
The Biggest Little Farm – One of the best documentaries I’ve seen

Warning: If you take young kids you’ll need to be aware that there are scenes when animals are sick (don’t worry Emma lives but it is sad when she is sick) or killed due to being a pest (Kyote for killing many chickens). You don’t see anything horrible so you will not have to shield anyone’s eyes.

A BIG Thank you to Anne from NIXco for our tickets to see this fabulous film. We had a great night out at the movies and in Newtown.

Creative Play With Rainbow Patch PlayBook

Note: Susanna from Rainbow Patch sent Alexander a PlayBook to try out. He loves it and so does mummy.

Alexander with his Rainbow Patch PlayBook

I love toys that kids can be creative with, well, in this case, its an activity book that will keep toddlers entertained for hours.

Susanna Polycarpou is a mum of two and creator of the Rainbow Patch Playbook

The idea came to Susanna after she saw how much time her eldest daughter Alexandra (5) was spent in front of a screen.

Now her two kids, Alexandra and Rocco don’t want to play with the iPad and favour the Rainbow Patch PlayBook.

The Rainbow Patch PlayBook comes with its own tote bag to allow you to take it anywhere and perfect for the holidays.

The Rainbow Patch PlayBook fits easily into the tote bag and allows you to take it with you everywhere.

Who Funds Rusty, Ruby, Ryder & The PJ Masks?

I’ve watched about a million hours of Rusty Rivets and Paw Patrol, and there is one thing that these shows have in common; they have kids that build or have state of the art technology, equipment, and space to have a large HQ (Head Quarters)

This also applies to PJ Masks as well. Three kids about 8-9 years old at the most, and they save the world or at the very least their town from Romeo, Luna Girl and Night Ninja.

Greg, Connor, and Amaya become Gecko, Cat Boy and Owlette, they work at night to save the day. However, when an emergency or evil event occurs it is always in the day time and most times they are in a park or at school. Then they do there tagline about saving the day and pow they are all in their costumes and it is night time.

Doesn’t anyone notice that these kids are suddenly doing their superhero moves at school and during the day time? Does anyone wonder how these three kids have a HUGE HQ, Cars and other amazing equipment?

The kids that are in these shows are about 10 years old (or sometimes younger) and how do they have access to the following:

  • Mobile Lab with all the technology you need
  • Heaps and heaps of space for the recycled workshop to build any robotic creation you wish
  • Boats, submarine, fancy HQ that is all run by kids and no adults
  • Money to do all of the above

So it got me thinking??? Who pays for all this stuff?

Does Rusty and Ruby from Rusty Rivets have investors? Do they have parents that secretly fund their creations? It is hard to know as this information is never told to the audience.

So just in case, you have no idea what these shows are all about here’s a breakdown for you.

Rusty Rivets – A boy called Rusty Rivest and his friend Ruby Ramirez who build and create a state of the art creations from recycled items. They have a robot called Botassuar and other robots called the bits.

When Rusty customizes or changes an item he says, “modify, customize, Rustify” and when Ruby customizes or creates something she says, “Rubify”

They end up out in the middle of nowhere nearly every episode and have their mobile lab which seems to have everything you would ever need to do anything. If they need something extra they use their iPad/tablet to call for the bits (their small robots) to come and help or bring them something that they urgently need.

How do these kids fix all these things and build such technical and huge creations???? I keep on wondering… Do you or is it just me?

Paw Patrol – Ryder and his pups save the town of Adventure Bay and any person when they get stuck, hurt, need help and everything in between.

Ryder has a huge HQ that sits on the beach of Adventure Bay and they have boats, subs, vehicles and all sorts of amazing technology and equipment for the pups and Ryder too.

How do they afford all this, again Ryder is probably just 10 years old and seems to be in charge of everything. No adult comes and helps, all the adults call Ryder and the pups to save them.

Who pays for all this? How does it get built? Is Ryder a secret adult? Is he independently wealthy? Maybe?

PJ Masks – Is about three kids that fight evil in their town and to save the world. Connor, Amaya and Greg are Cat Boy, Oweltte and Gecko. They are the PJ Masks, they do all their superhero work in the night time and apparently are in the third grade.

These 3rd graders have a massive and state of the art HQ, cars, technology and anything you could want and no one seems to know anything about it. This HQ looks like it lives in the city and in a local park from the many shows that I’ve seen.

Again how do three kids who are about 8-9 years old do all of this? Did they build and pay for everything themselves.

Or maybe there is a silent investor that pays for all of these kid organizations?

These tech-savvy kids could have approached venture capital firms for funding, I don’t know if they invest in this type of business as it doesn’t seem to have a return that I’m aware of, however, it could help keep the peace and in turn allow business to thrive, so maybe a good investment.

Do you know how these kids fund their enterprises and activities?  One suggestion is that they have a secret illegal business that generates heaps of cash. I know this is not in keeping of the superhero way but it could explain how they can afford all these amazing items for their adventures.

Let me know if you have any other ideas.

Learning with Get Ready For School Australia

Do you have a little person

that is close to going to Kindy?

If they are a few years away from entering big school or otherwise known as primary you might want to expose them to some concepts to give them a better start.

My little boy Alexander is still three but in a few short months will be four, and next year is his last year in childcare. Childcare runs a preschool program and he’s learning so much more each day.

How is he so close to going to Big School? Mind you he is keen to go to school like his big sisters, however the same year he starts Kindy the twins will be starting high school…yes I will have kids at two different stages!

I’ve partnered with Get Ready for School Australia to share their great resources to help your little people get school ready.  Read on to find the 15% discount…yes what a helpful thing to have!

LEGO Jr For Toddlers

Alexander loves LEGO and has really wanted to play with his big sisters LEGO sets.

However, these LEGO sets are for big kids and have super tiny to extremely little bits that go with any of the kits I have purchased (Also due to having a lot of LEGO and not a great system in place the LEGO is stored in a draw and easily accessible by the twin’s little brother).

LEGO Jr Incredibles 2 Underminer Bank Heist Set
LEGO Jr Incredibles 2 Underminer Bank Heist Set

The twins are eight years older than their brother so as you might imagine they are doing more complicated things with their LEGO creations than he is, although he would love to give it a go.

I have noticed that he seems to be very good at not putting any little piece in his mouth or elsewhere so that is a plus and decided to see how he would go with the LEGO Jr Sets.

Finished Incredibles 2 Set all ready to play with
Finished Incredibles 2 Set all ready to play with

Superheroes are a big hit and the Incredibles Films are a firm favourite with Alexander and also the twins. Having a kit that features the “Underminer Bank Heist” from The Incredibles 2 was a good idea.

Alex was keen to open his new LEGO set and kept on wanting to build it. I helped with opening up the box and assisted him in building the kit. It came with Mr Incredible, Mrs Incredible (Elastigirl) and the Underminer. You also can build a bank vault with breakaway door and a street scene with wall and buildable streetlamp, plus an Incredibile vehicle and Tunneler machine with spinning drill bits.  Some parts needed mummy to help and others Alex was able to click the bricks into place.

My little boy is a little young to do it all himself but enjoyed the process and playing with the set once finished.

I was very pleased once the set was complete and it matched the picture on the box and instructions. However, a three-year-old toddler didn’t care too much for accuracy and ended up dismantling my hard efforts on making sure it looked picture perfect and created his own game with Mr Incredible and the Underminer, oh and loved the fact that he got another car with the kit too (he is obsessed with cars).

Alexander will be 4 in January and since he is really into building with LEGO I’ve organised more LEGO Jr kits just for him.

Pineapples Nutrient Rich and Great for Health

I had no idea that Pineapples were so good for you.

Also, I don’t often drink pineapple….but don’t hate it, and yes I like many others seem to eat it more in the summer.

DID YOU KNOW?

  • Pineapples have an enzyme called bromelain. This enzyme has anti-inflammatory properties.
  • This magical enzyme also can boost immunity and is super helpful to fight colds and flu (I wish I knew this as I am currently suffering from a bad cold or possibly the flu)
  • “Only six per cent of people class pineapples as nutrient-rich, favouring blueberries and acai berries instead”

·

Pure Gold pineapples are so good for you, read all about them.

Pineapples also are great for your digestive system, yep more good things from eating. Bromelain breaks down proteins plus has been shown to help with symptoms of sinusitis, arthritis and sore throats.

WOW PINEAPPLES ARE REALLY A SUPER FOOD!

“Nutritionist and dietitian Joanna Shinewell said the key to keeping a strong immune system, particularly during the cooler months, is through vitamin C, dietary bromelain and antioxidants.”

“To encourage a healthy immune system, the body needs a daily intake of vitamins, minerals and nutrients. While to many it is surprising that pineapples could be a hidden gem, they are truly the golden fruit that protects you from the harshness of winter from the inside, out,” said Shinewell.

Pure Gold Pineapples are based in Central and Southern Queensland,  and available all year round. Pure Gold Pineapples are available across Australian food retailers and fruit shops nationally.

Unvaccinated Kids Not Smart Just Risky

Geez, I thought people already understood that vaccinations help everyone. Vaccinations save lives and help us fight horrible diseases.

As you might have already guessed, I am pro vaccination and hubby and I , and all our children are fully vaccinated. When I was little there were no vaccinations for chicken pox, mumps, measles and some other scary illnesses.

If you were like me and grew up in the 70’s and 80’s you were most likely exposed to chicken pox, mumps and measles. I think I got chicken pox and not sure if I got mumps as my mum doesn’t remember. Now there are vaccines for Chicken Pox, Measles and Mumps…yes these infections shouldn’t be around any more but they are.

Currently there is a massive outbreak of measles in New Zealand.

Pete Evans a chef in Australia has recently come out in support of anti-vaxxer Dr Sherri Tenpenny via his Instagram account.

Evans says that,”unvaccinated kids are smarter”

Well I am not sure that unvaccinated kids are smarter, if their parents don’t vaccinate to protect them from disease they might die and get very ill. I don’t think this is smart do you? Mind you it is not the child choosing this, it is the parents that are deciding for their children.

Dr Tenpenny states that “vaccinating children is part of a conspiracy to have “every single human being on the planet on a minimum of two pharmaceutical drugs for life, beginning in childhood.”

I say, that without being vaccinated it means you are at risk of very serious illness and possibly dying so getting a needle to help you not get sick is a small price to pay.

Oh also if you get vaccinated you are protecting everyone, not just your family. It is

Personally I would not listen or follow Pete Evan’s ideas on health.

Some of his recent thoughts have been:

  • Said Sunscreen was poisonous
  • Said that vegan women would struggle to reproduce
  • According to Evans a Paleo Diet could prevent Autism
  • Knows more than the WHO (World Health Organsiation) when he said that eating too much processed meat and red meat won’t give you cancer
  • Creating a Paleo Cookbook for babies and toddlers – It had “a recipe for infant formula containing bone broth and liver – which doctors feared would be potentially life-threatening if given to young babies.” (https://www.peta.org.au/news/pete-evans-total-dumbass/)

“The original DIY bone broth formula recipe was independently analysed and found to be unsafe. It could “cause permanent damage and possibly result in death,” experts concluded. Among problems were that it contained 749% as much vitamin A as breastmilk, 2326% as much vitamin B12, 1067% as much iron, 879% as much salt and 220% as much protein. Young babies’ immune and digestive systems cannot process very high levels of these nutrients.” (https://www.nowtolove.com.au/health/diet-nutrition/why-pete-evans-is-wrong-about-paleo-baby-formula-12805)

However in the world we live in science allows us to not suffer these horrible infections anymore. Simple, get immunised and you are better protected.

Vaccinations are safe and protect everyone. The more people get immunised the better everyone in the world will be. It’s called herd immunity,  the more people get immunised less of the infection and disease will be about, and therefore will hopefully go away.

However, if a percentage of the population don’t get immunised and get sick,  it spreads to others that have a lowered immunity or haven’t been able to get their immunistations due to age or that they might be unwell at the time.

The more people get immunised the healthier our communities will be.  Learn more at immunistionfacts.gov.au

Vaccines and Autism

“The 1998 study which raised concerns about a possible link between measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine and autism was later found to be seriously flawed and fraudulent. The paper was subsequently retracted by the journal that published it. Unfortunately, its publication set off a panic that led to dropping immunization rates, and subsequent outbreaks of these diseases. There is no evidence of a link between MMR vaccine and autism or autistic disorders.”  The World Health Organisation  – https://www.who.int/features/qa/84/en/

Penn and Teller about Vaccinations

Personally why would you want to risk the health of your family, we can protect and treat so much now.   Also if your’re vaccinated you can travel to countries with no fear of getting something horrible and possibly dying.

It’s a no brainer to me. Vaccinate to not potentially die or get very ill, easy really!

#vaccineswork #getimmunised

“Dr Tenpenny compared vaccination to a game of Russian roulette, saying “it could kill you.”

Maybe the lack of immunisation could do the same if you get measles?

The story of Polio – The Vaccine that Changed the World

(Polio is still exists, according to a quick search online Pakistan, Afghanistan and Nigeria are the 3 countries listed as still having this disease.
This does not mean that a person infected with polio can travel elsewhere and infect others with polio)

Make Vietnamese Spring Rolls

I’ve never made Vietnamese Spring Rolls before and thought they looked hard. However, they were super easy to create.

So what do you need to make Vietnamese Spring Rolls?

  • Rice Paper Wrappers
  • Carrot – Grated
  • Cooked Chicken – You can add prawns, beef or anything else that takes your fancy
  • Lettuce/bok choy
  • Bean shoots
  • Water Chesnuts
  • Soy Sauce, chilli flakes or a special spring roll sauce of your choosing.

All my ingredients for the inside of my spring rolls.
All my ingredients for the inside of my spring rolls.

See diagram on how to fold the spring rolls. I didn't see this at first and my first ones were not as good. The other ones were better, but I think I need more practice.
See diagram on how to fold the spring rolls. I didn’t see this at first and my first ones were not as good. The other ones were better, but I think I need more practice.

Method

  1. Do each rice paper wrapper at a time. Wet the wrapper for a few minutes in water. Once done put it on a damp cloth/tea towel.
  2. Add the ingredients to the middle of the wrapper.
  3. Now fold the wrapper to make the spring roll. Fold over the sides and then roll tightly until it is rolled tight in a roll.
  4. Do it for all the spring roll wrappers and until you finish all your ingredients.
  5. Serve with soy and chilli sauce or a mixture of sauce that you love.
Make sure to work fast as the rice paper wrapper is prone to tear and stick to things. This is why it is a good idea to have the rice paper wrapper on a damp surface like a tea towel.

NAN A2 Toddler Milk Drink for Out of this World Adventures

Toddlers are busy creatures; they cannot keep still or stop moving.

My little toddler is having so much fun with his weird and wonderful adventures, it is hard to keep up!

Playing superheroes at the park with Super Bark the Dog!
Playing superheroes at the park with Super Bark the Dog!

He has been to space and loves being a superhero.

Mummy has also taken various trips to the moon and other planets too!  We are frequent visitors to outer space, maybe there is a frequent flyer card for travelling so far? I’m sure I’ve collected millions of frequent flyer points by now!

On top of his normal diet, one thing that allows my little space explorer to keep on going is the energy he gets from his NAN A2 toddler milk drink.

NAN A2 toddler milk has some essential vitamins and minerals to help support my adventurous toddler needs, and lately, he has needed extra due to a growth spurt.

Having a cool drink of NAN A2 Stage 3 Toddler Milk
Having a cool drink of NAN A2 Stage 3 Toddler Milk

As you can see Alexander has been super busy with his cars, at the park and going to space with mummy.

My little boy has been super hungry and has wanted more of everything! Giving him a sippy cup of his NAN A2 toddler milk drink means that he is getting some essential vitamins and minerals he needs.

The toddler milk helps me as a mummy to make sure he gets what he needs. I find that he sometimes eats lots and then goes for days not eating anything at all.  NAN A2 Stage 3 shouldn’t replace a varied diet. It’s specially formulated for toddler’s that may not be getting all the energy and nutrients they need from their food.

Alexander can't go anywhere without his cars and Bark the Dog. Playing cars on the driveway is hours of fun!

If you also have an active space explorer or superhero, I would recommend NAN A2 toddler milk to help them get any extra energy they might need for more amazing adventures.

As a parent, the NAN A2 Stage 3 toddler milk is so easy to prepare, and you can take it anywhere, why not on your next space exploration.
