Great fun for kids and adults too.
Pin the Tail on the Easter Bunny – Download your free printable today!
How to Play:
Download the PDF file and print it out. See form below, once you subscribe your PDF printable will be sent instantly!
Stick the rabbit onto a board so that it remains in one place.
Cut out multiple tails for each child that is playing the game (If you have one each for all players the tail can stay on the board and you can see who gets the closest to putting it on the actual bunnies tail)
Blindfold the person who is about to play.
Spin the person around so that they cannot know where the tail actually is.
Now the player needs to put the tail where they think it should go on the bunny rabbit.
Each player does the same as above until all has had a go. Once all done the closest to getting the tail on the rabbits actual tail wins.
The winner can win a lucky dip, lollies or a major prize. It is up to you.
This is perfect to celebrate Easter or for a Birthday Party game.
Enjoy and I hope that you get the tail on the Easter Bunny or Bunny Rabbit.

Creating Marble Easter Eggs is fun and you get pretty eggs. It is also a fun project to do with the kids this Easter.
Marble Dyed Easter Eggs
What Do you Need to Marble Dye Easter Eggs?
Eggs (this is pretty essential, you will need eggs to have an Easter Egg)
Oil
Food Colouring
Vinegar (for dying the eggs in the fizzy solution)
Bicarbonate Soda (for dying the eggs in the Fizzy solution)
Water
Don’t they look amazing! Marbled Dyed Eggs
Method
Hard Boil your eggs – If you would rather you can blow out the eggs so that you don’t need to boil them and the eggs will be preserved. I used boiled eggs.
Cool down the eggs so they are not hot
Dye the eggs with an overall colour first. You can do this by using my Fizzy Dyed Eggs project
We dyed ours with the fizzy method
Fill a bowl with water and a tablespoon of oil and another colour food colour. We did this for a bit and then also added the food colouring directly to the egg.
Dry off with paper towels after you are finished.
Adding the Marble colour in the water and oil solution
This might not be the way many do this but it worked for us. Give it a go and see what different patterns and differently dyed eggs you can create.
Alexander helping with the marbled Easter Eggs
The finished product – Marble Dyed Easter Eggs
We noticed that some were not holding the colour so adding the dye straight onto the egg helped.

It is an animal that is a unicorn and bunny all in one.
I know many dear readers had no idea, but now you are aware of this magical creature, you will definitely keep an eye out for her next Easter. (Read the twins stories to learn more about the Unibunny)

Easter will soon be here and so will the Easter Hat parade at your local school.
If this is shocking, then I might have freaked you out. Breathe it is okay!
I will hand you a lovely cup of virtual coffee or tea depending on your preference, and you can have a little quiet time. This will allow you to process that it will soon be school holidays or the fact that kids will be hyperactive and high on chocolate due to the gifts from The Easter Bunny and a well-meaning family.
White Knight and Bear and Sparrow sent my girls some lovely Easter Hat kits. It was so much fun creating them and they look so good. Much better than I would have done on my own.
If you are like me, you failed badly at creating an Easter Hat for your kids. I ran out of time and purchased an oversized beach hat for each child. They were pink so I thought they would love them. However, as soon as decorations were added to these hats they immediately fell off and due to the size of the hat and the fact it had a very floppy rim the kids could not see very well while the hat was on. If you really must analyse how it went, it might be termed a complete disaster.
Hopefully, you are now feeling rested and relaxed after the virtual cuppa I gave you.
Now for my solution to make it all better for Easter, or the very least making the Easter Hat Parade stress free this year! Yes, it can be easier and your child will have one amazing rockstar of a hat.
White Knight Paints and Bear & Sparrow have teamed up to create to help parents take all the stress out of creating the Easter Hat.
“White Knight Paints has been a leading force in the specialty paint market for many years. When painting bathroom tiles, kitchen cabinets, metal fencing, your front porch or just indulging in a fun upcycling project, White Knight has an easy-to-use product for just about every DIY project, to help our consumers always achieve a professional result” says Brand Manager Dilani Fernando.
Bear and Sparrow is a registered Australian owned, boutique children’s decor business. They are based in Brisbane and have some lovely handmade wooden pieces.
The Easter Hats use White Knight Squirt Spray Paints. They come in 43 different colours and the new formulation has a primer and topcoat all in one. This paint dries quickly and is touch dry in just 10 minutes. This is good for craft projects with kids, you know how keen they are to start using their creations.
All the components for making this fabulous Easter Hat can be purchased at the hardware store and craft store, all for under $40.
It should take about 1 hour to make, so that is not long at all. Check out the video and download the Easter Hat Instructions here.
After your kids use their new groovy Easter Hats in the school parade you can also re-use it as a table decoration for family meals during Easter.
Make sure you tag your bunny project with #wkxbearsparrow, #wksquirts and #whiteknightpaints #mummytotwinsplusonecraft
Here are the girls finished hats. They look great, don’t they?
Lillian loves her new Easter Hat.
Julia being cheeky with her stylish Easter Hat.
The girls think their new hats will impress at the local school and also the Easter Bunny.
Check out the bunny tail on the back of the hat. Very cheeky indeed.
C’mon and hop off and create your own amazing Easter Hat as we did. You can download the Easter Hat Instructions here, and make sure to watch the video above if you get stuck.
I hope you have fun and enjoy this project as much as we did.
A HUGE thank you to White Knight Paintsand Bear & Sparrow for sending both my kids a kit each.
Oh, and the hat boxes are so nice and great for storing your finished hat in too. This will ensure that your stylish creation is not damaged.
Julia’s hat is all safe in the hat box.
You can add paper to make sure the hat does not move around.
The kids are super cute and young here, the reason is that this post was created on March 22, 2017. Still a great post and activity.
I purchased two Hot Wheels Jumbo Eggs for my little boy. He is obsessed with cars, especially Hot Wheels, and does not eat chocolate or like it so a different gift for Easter was needed.
While at BigW I saw that Hot Wheels had a few eggs with lollies and toys. I thought this was the perfect option.
Easter Sunday morning arrived and my little boy opened his Hot Wheel eggs. I did expect maybe a car due to it being Hot Wheels but no that was not to be. What do you think was inside the eggs?
Well once they were opened I discovered that each egg had exactly the same thing:
Bags of little jelly beans
Lollipops
Stickers
Spinning tops
Noisemakers (think that is what they are called)
What was in the Hot Wheels Easter Eggs – lollipops, stickers, spinning tops, and noisemakers
After my six-year-old opened his eggs I must say I was very disappointed in what was inside. No car???? It is Hot Wheels after all. Why spinning tops and noisemakers? Every Hot Wheels mad kid would have been annoyed and upset about not getting a car.
Hot Wheels Spinning Top
It didn’t need to be a great car, just a car, and yes I know that having a sub-average car might be something else to complain about but for the price point, I think a car of any sort would be better than no car.
As you will see my little boy has taken a sharpie to his big egg. He thought it looked cool, although as a mum I was sad about what it offered. I mentioned to hubby what was in the egg and he was shocked…. Hubby said, “Why didn’t it have a car?????” I said I don’t know and I agreed, I bought them hoping that it might have a car. I got two eggs to make sure if there were different toys we might have a chance for different toys. Little did I know they would be the same, exactly the same!
I think I paid $5 each for each egg and I did hope for at least a car in one of them.
Have you purchased a gift that you thought had something else inside to be very disappointed and upset at your purchase? Let me know.

They make me feel good and put a smile on my face.
If I want to cheer myself up I buy a bunch of flowers. It would be nice to be given one but I don’t wait for this to happen.
When I was working in the city I used to bring a nice bunch of flowers from my garden to put on my desk. If I could not get ample flowers to take to the office, I would stop by the florist on the way to work and grab a bunch of whatever is in season.
My lovely bunch of Dahlias and Alstroemeria that I purchased from Pam and Debbie at Fine Flowers. These look so pretty and put a big smile on my face.
The flowers were lovely smelling and cheered me up. Normally I would pick a bunch of Gerberas or the lovely smelling Jonquils.
I did the same thing when I was at home. I purchased flowers from the local florist and decorated the house with pretty and fragrant flowers.
My favourite local florist is Fine Flowers in Katoomba, I have been visiting them for over ten years now.
Fine Flowers in Katoomba.
Pam and Debbie are the lovely ladies at Fine Flowers. Pam has owned the business for ten and half years and worked in the business for another fifteen years previously. So this is over 25 years of floristry experience.
I love coming in and having a chat and finding out what is in season and maybe what might look great to brighten up my desk and house.
What is in season currently?
Tulips and dahlias.
The pretty Tulips on sale.
What has changed?
I asked Pam what have customers been asking for lately?
Normally Pam said that customers would order a bunch of flowers and have a bunch styled and designed by herself or Debbie. However she has noticed that customers are liking the idea of picking their own designs and choosing what flowers go with other flowers.
It is more of free form design.
Posies with roses that were tiny and cute were very popular for weddings. Now the trend is to have larger flowers not so styled and have them look like you have just picked them from the garden.
Customers like the brown paper and natural wrapping for bunches of flowers.
The lovely ladies at Fine Flowers Katoomba. Debbie on left and Pam on the right.
I even did a free form design. I combined two different flowers to make a big pretty bunch.
Popular Celebrations for Flowers
Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas, Birthdays and New Babies are huge.
I asked Debbie and Pam if Easter was a busy time as well. They said it was, and that a lot of people come and purchase daisies for the Easter period. It is up to the individual which bloom takes their fancy but it is interesting that Easter is still a busy time. I suppose daisies make me think of rabbits, the Easter Bunny and nice roaming hills and lush lawn.
Brightly coloured flowers.
With Mother’s Day soon approaching I was keen to know what flowers or items were in demand at Fine Flowers?
I thought that red roses might be the flower of choice. However I was surprised by the answer.
For Mother’s Day all pastel/light coloured flowers were extremely popular and not just roses. Anything that might be pale pink, creams, pale everything. It does not even matter the age of the mother here, it could be for a new mum pale blooms will be purchased more so than brightly coloured ones.
Interesting don’t you think? Mums get the dainty, pretty and pale pastel coloured flowers.
I do love them and they do look pretty but I fall in the other percentage that love some bright blooms. I love colour and some nice bright Gerberas or maybe some vibrant purple Irises with some yellow Tulips or Daffodils.
So pretty and textural, the bright yellow Chrysanthemum Disbud (Spider).
The ladies at Fine Flowers said that bright coloured flowers are still purchased but not in the same quantities as the pale or pastel shades.
Do you love bright flowers like I do? Or prefer the pastel shades? Let us know what your favourites are.
My nice bunch of Dahlias and Alstroemeria on the hall stand at home. It the first thing you see when you come home and walk anywhere in the house. A perfect place for pretty flowers.
I loved my in season bunch of flowers that I purchased from my local florist. I am now keen to go back and get another bunch. This time I think tulips will be in order. They were so pretty and colourful. A good flower to brighten up a space and lift your mood this autumn.
Do you love flowers as much as I do?
I really like the fact that you can get such a great variety of flowers. This variety allows me to change the look of a room easily and helps lifts my spirits as well.
What is your favourite bunch to get from your florist?
Do you have some of your favourites in your garden? Let us know.

IGA sent me a bag of goodies to say Happy Easter. It was a lovely bag that I can reuse and it was filled with baked goods to make a special treat.
Choc Cornflake Sliceto be precise! I have never made this before but thought since it is Easter and due to relatives coming for lunch tomorrow a treat is in order.
Now how did I make this amazing slice for the Easter Long Weekend?
Well, it is was super simple and it did not take long at all. The only thing that was hard was waiting for the slice to cool down.
Ingredients
275g milk chocolate, chopped
75g copha
1 tbsp honey
1⁄4 cup sugar
80g unsalted butter
3 cups of cornflakes
1⁄2 cup shredded coconut
1⁄4 cup dried cranberries
35g milk chocolate, extra
15g copha, extra
The chocolate and Copha ready to melt for the base of the slice
Method
Preheat oven to 150C. Line the base and sides of an 18cm square cake tin with baking paper.
Melt the chocolate and copha in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of boiling water, stirring regularly. Remove from heat and pour over the base of the tin. Set aside.
Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, melt together the honey, sugar and butter, stirring until sugar has dissolved.
Place the cornflakes in a bowl with the coconut and cranberries and pour over the honey mixture.
Spoon the cornflake mixture over the chocolate base. Bake for 10 minutes, remove and cool slightly before refrigerating until firm.
Melt the remaining chocolate and copha together. Drizzle over the slice then cool fully before slicing into squares.
Cool in the fridge for 45 mins. Once set you can slice it up to eat! (I have left it out a bit to cool down before putting the tray in the fridge)
The copha and chocolate melted and spread on bottom of the pan for the base of the slice.
TIP: If you don’t like cranberries, try a different fruit. You can also try white chocolate or dark. Why not add some nuts or other tasty things as well. Make it unique to your families likes.

As you might already know the kids and I were lucky enough to have a preview of the Sydney Royal Easter Show. It was a HUGE day. We all got up very early as we had to be there by 9.30 for 10am. Yes this does not sound bad but when you are coming from the Blue Mountains and leaving in peak hour it can all go wrong so easily.
I thought it best to have more time up my sleeve so planned to be there for 9am. I did not want to be late. That would just be terrible!
We did hit a lot of traffic but all was good due to allowing extra time. Thank goodness for Google Maps and getting up early, oh and kids not whinging due to getting up early.
The show officially opened on Thursday (yesterday to be precise) and of course they are expecting about 900,000 or more people to visit. Now that is a lot of people coming over to your place for a visit! Glad I don’t have to tidy or organise for this event.!
So what did we think of the preview of the Easter Show?
The kids did not know at first where we were off to. Once we arrived I told them we are seeing the Easter Show before the public sees it. They did not know what public was. I then said, “We are seeing the show before anyone else does. It is not open yet and opens tomorrow”. This was understood and they felt very special about being at the showground.
First of all we were taken to every part via a train. It was not a massive train, more like a little train that takes kids and tourists around a show.
The girls waiting for us to leave on the train. It was very nice to be taken to every event at the show!
Our first stop was the Woolworth’s food pavilion.
They were still setting up the exhibits and doing final touches on the great artwork that uses vegetables and fruit. It looked amazing and is so clever. So much time and hard work has gone into this visual display.
Due to ANZAC Day being the 100th anniversary the show is commemorating this in the displays. You will note that they have signs with “Lest We Forget” and great tributes to our brave soliders that fought for us all.
Stop 2. Then we were off to see the animals
The big highlight was the animals. The girls really loved this part of the day!
Last stop was to see the motorbikes in the stadium
The kids were amazed at the skillful guys that jumped in the air with their motorbikes. They were daredevils and it was very impressive!
Julie Power who is a reporter for the Sydney Morning Herald was also at the preview of the Easter Show. Julie’s article mentioned the blog! Check out the fab story here!
If you are going to the show have a fun time. Make sure to plan your day with the Sydney Royal Easter Show website.
Hi all, I’m very pleased to announce a new section on the blog. Yes I have been hard at work creating some wonderful downloads for you all, and especially for Easter!
More great downloads to be online the blog soon. I am thrilled that the blog has now got a new section and I will endeavor to populate it with more items for parties and kids activities.
Pin the tail on the Easter Bunny
Let me know if there is something in particular you are really needing and I will see what I can do!
Kids are super excited about Easter and the impending Easter Bunny. I have organised surprises for the twins, however they are getting into mischief and acting up a lot lately, which brings me to my question. Have they been good enough?
Daddy told the girls that if they did not stop mucking around he will call Mr Easter Bunny and tell him not to come to our house. You can imagine the chaos this ended with. Yes, tears, screams and I hate you was uttered a few times! I must say in our defense the girls have been little terrors, but is it just due to being four years old? I think so, who knows.
When they are out of line they get into trouble and get the appropriate punishment, however I think it feels like it is happening more than usual lately. Do you have those times? It does feel like all I do is punish someone or send someone to time out. Maybe it is the pushing the envelope that is the issue?
They seem to be pulling up their socks a little bit when they realised how close Easter really is, not sure if it is the lure of the chocolates or if they are trying to be good for goods sake. They are generally very good kids and understand when they are wrong, however it is more sister related issues. Pinching, and being on top of each other is wearing rather thin.
Do you have twins or triplets? Do they hurt or annoy their siblings when they want to be alone or not share a toy? I know it is hard being with each other all the time. I do try and have them do separate things however most of the time they want to be together. I am exhausted due to organising and dealing with all the carry on.
Is this something that have happen at your place? Why not continue the discussion on our Twitter or Facebook pages.
As I write this I need to remember to be careful of the bunny paws on the floor, I need to go to the bathroom before I turn in for the night and don’t want to ruin them. The girls are going to be so excited and happy that the Easter Bunny came, I did threaten to call him and explain how naughty they have been. A friend on facebook has reported that the kids went to bed with the threat that she was going to email the Easter Bunny. Oh the power of chocolate treats.
The girls had a visit with their great aunt and her friend today and had a blast. They were given chocolate eggs and I have saved the others till tomorrow. Both girls were so tired after we left them in their room no sound was heard, must have just closed their eyes and fallen fast asleep. Very tired bunnies.
I hope everyone is having a good night and the excitement of tomorrow will soon be here. The Easter Bunny will come to our house for another year, and I am sure we will still have chocolate for months afterwards. It is great that the girls have such a wonderful time at Easter, however it is not good for project slinky to be surrounded by so much temptation.
I would like to be losing weight, however I feel like I am always going back and forth. I have cut down on portion sizes and I eat right, now just a matter of sticking to the exercise and doing it more regularly.
We here at mummy to twins hope that you all have a happy and safe Easter, look after yourselves and take care.
Also try and not eat too much chocolate if you can, and if you can’t see if you can walk for ages to burn it off. 🙂
Why is it that as a mother you have to look after kids and still try and get the housework done? The husband gets space to do outdoors work (and other things); with a little help from the girls he basically got time to get it all done. I know both jobs are not fun and a lot of work, however it is very hard to get the house tidy with two little people wanting you to spend time with them, play with them, cuddle them and you get the idea.
I managed yesterday to get the bathroom clean, but this was only due to me putting the kids in their room for enforced quiet time. Not really quiet time, however it is time that mummy can do things without two kids under foot. Other than the bathroom, the kitchen got a little tidier and so did the living room. Other than those rooms, not much got done.
At lunch time today we are expecting the girl’s great aunt and her girlfriend for lunch, so I am working away at finalising the house. I have tidied our room and added fresh sheets to the bed; I have put more clothes in the washing machine (need to put clothes on the line), tidied up the living room yet again, the hallway and off to do the dining room and kitchen for finishing touches.
While I am doing all this my husband is at the computer figuring out an issue with his email. I did ask that he get up and help, however his view was that he is tired from yesterday. He did do a lot of yard work and the entire front yard. Not only did he cut and prune trees and shrubs, he mowed as well. It does look great, and I can imagine that his body is a bit sore and tired. Although I think that as his relative is coming that maybe he might help with the inside? Is this too much to ask? I really don’t think so. So I thought why not update the blog if other people are at the computer as well.
I also find it incredible that even on holidays I am the one that is mainly looking after the girls. I have told him that this weekend and Monday I need to focus on my assignment for university. I have no choice as it is due by midnight Monday evening. So after lunch time today and family time tomorrow, he is looking after the kids.
The girls do get involved in some tasks to help, putting their shoes in their room, helping putting away groceries, they have cleaned their room although this was just them putting all their toys on the shelves, wiping down tables however the use of the spray is way to much, putting away toys in the toy box, and some other things. I find that it is hard to get these things done, although I am trying to involve the girls so that they are learning to put things away also.
Do you have any tips or tricks for getting housework and other things done with kids? What do you do? Some ladies I spoke to said that they don’t bother if the kids are around, I do try but nothing seems to ever get completed. Why do you as a woman get criticised for not completing the inside when you had other things to care for, namely two children. I would like on this Easter break to finally get help with cleaning the windows, and time to do some other things, maybe my sewing? One can only hope. Send in your ideas for doing chores/housework and other tasks with kids around.
