Soon to be Penguins

by

Note: I must have been very tired when writing this post as I did have the title the other way around then changed it. The twins are going to be seals not penguins so sorry everyone. They were penguins and will go into seals for the next lessons.

The girls went to their swimming lesson this morning and we were lucky to make it. Due to a late night for the girls and also mummy and daddy we all slept in till 9am. Swimming lessons was at 9.30am so not a lot of wiggle room. Had to get kids dressed and fed and myself organised also so we could zip up to the pool and make the lesson. We were lucky and made it in time, phew! Lucky we woke when we did.

After the lesson the teacher told me that she is putting the twins up a level, so next time we book for lessons they will be seals not penguins. How amazing is that! I was beaming about this all day. It was like I got the big pat on the back and well done. Nope it was the kids well done. I explained to them about moving up a class and they are not over the moon about it. I’m sure they will be when they learn more in the next class.

Seals need more help and wear floaties, whereas penguins don’t need floatation devices and are swimming more independently. So well done girls!

Thought you might want to see some fun snaps of the kids having fun after the lesson. I am now using my zoom in the iPhone for pictures as I did not realise I could do this. Yes a sad day for a tech girl that did not know. 🙁 Hope you enjoy them.

I leave you all tonight a pleased and proud mummy that now has kids that are getting very close to swimming the pool all by themselves. 🙂

Great job to your girls 🙂 I took swimming lessons when I was little and then swim team in high-school. It’s great exercise!

Hi Foodie in WV, I agree, I would like my girls to continue with swimming. They love the water and just are so confident in it. I’m originally from Queensland and grew up at the beach so I just adore the beach, water and swimming. I am so pleased my girls love it so much as well. Don’t know what I would do if they had a fear of water.
