What can you do at Scenic World?

“A mouse took a stroll through the deep dark wood. A fox saw the mouse and the mouse looked good. “Where are you going to, little brown mouse? Come and have lunch in my underground house.” “It’s terribly kind of you, Fox, but no – I’m going to have lunch with a Gruffalo.”

Have fun spotting Mouse, Owl, Snake, and the Gruffalo while you explore the scenic walkway. Make sure you purchase an Unlimited Discovery Ticket as this is included for Gruffalo Spotters.

We had such fun spotting all the animals from the Gruffalo and my little boy was reciting the story to me as we walked.

We made Owl fly, we made Snake dance, and frightened the Gruffalo. Downloading the free Gruffalo Spotter 2 App, before setting off on an adventure on the world’s steepest train, the Scenic Railway into the Jamison Valley, and searching the deep, dark woods along Scenic World’s elevated boardwalk for interactive signs that trigger the appearances of the characters.

Using the app, you can take photos and videos of you, the kids and the family interacting with the characters as the signs along the walk activate Mouse, Fox, Owl, Snake and The Gruffalo.

The Scenic Railway is fun and very very steep… it is a quick way to get to the Scenic Walkway and is a real experience. Make sure to hang onto your bag and hat and enjoy!

When you travel on the SkyWay to see stunning views all around you. Did you know you can go beyond the SkyWay! You don’t need to be on top of the SkyWay you can stay inside and see everything… oh and there is a glass floor too to make it even more exciting.

Beyond Skyway — the world’s first rooftop cable car experience.

270m above the canopy of the Jamison Valley, soak up the unimpeded, 360-degree views of the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains National Park. Intimate and incredible, atop the iconic Scenic Skyway… it’s like nothing else on earth.

I want to do the skyrail but I think the greatest adventure will be the nocturnal fun including the rail in the dark! How awesome!!

See my boys experience the wonderful fresh air, views and history of the area as I did in my youth. The scenic railway would just thrill my boys. I wish we were there right now.

I love the steep incline on the railway, but finding the Gruffalo would be fun! Best book!

We’d love to do everything!! The cable car looks amazing, the skyway looks scary (but amazing) and how fun would it be to go Gruffalo spotting! It would be a great way to spend time with family and a great excuse for a weekend away.
