Ever UGG Miracle Moccasin with Special Flower Fragrance

Winter is upon us and it was like it knew it and hit with a vengeance.  From June the 1st we have had icy temperatures and winds and just very cold days and nights.

You would think that living in the Blue Mountains has made me love the cold and winters but that is so very wrong, I long for the summer days and the warm weather and to keep happy during this freezing time I am happier with toasty warm feet, a roaring fire and a nice warm drink to keep my super warm.

I was very pleased when UGG Express sent me some of their new Ever UGG Miracle Moccasin’s to test out, and boy did it come at just the right time (My feet were pleased about this new addition to my wardrobe)

There are a number of bright colours to pick from and I for one normally go for black or blue, however this time I wanted to inject some colour into my world.

I was tossing up between red or purple but decided upon the purple – am more partial to blues and thought that the purple would go with my PJ’s, loungewear, and of course jeans.

When sent my request for the purple UGG Moccasin I thought it would be a bright and vibrant colour, when the shoes arrived I was eager to see the stunning colour and to try them out, however, I was relieved that they were not neon purple and a nice shade that goes with my other clothing.

My normal shoe size is 7 and a half, and lately, it seems that no one makes a half size shoe. Due to not being able to get exact I always opt for the size 8 for my feet as I believe that this will give adequate room. I am not sure if it is just due to the moccasins being new and possibly my feet being a bit swollen but I have found them to be rather tight.  However, after a while of wearing my new Purple UGG’s I have noticed that they are giving a little bit. I am not sure if I need the next size up or just to wear them more and break them in.

While wearing my new snazzy Ever UGG Miracle Moccasin‘s I have found that my feet stay so warm and it is like I am walking on a cushion of wool and air.

I live in a very cold place and lately, it is getting colder and colder by the day, and of course, my feet without shoes or socks get ice cold and therefore my whole body becomes freezing.

Doesn't the purple colour match my jeans, I love purple what about you?

My Ever UGG Miracle Moccasin has been a savior to ensure that my whole body is not an ice block and allows me to wear comfortable shoes inside the house and look fabulous too.

The moccasins have a great grip rubber sole that means that you will never slip or fall over while wearing them…well I have been super impressed and with a four-year-old playing and tumbling I have been able to grip to the floor and make sure that my tootsies are comfortable to boot!

My new UGG Moccasins come with a subtle fragrance of lavender, I was worried at first if this would overpowering but it is just a hint of lavender and makes the shoes smell nice even after you have been wearing them for a while.

If you are looking for a gift for mum, your wife, girlfriend, or anyone then these amazingly warm and comfortable Ever UGG Miracle Moccasin with Special Flower Fragrance would be perfect.

They are now priced at $50 and used to be $129, so that is a $79 saving.

What did I think?

  • A little snug at first but starts to loosen up (I would love to see what the size 9 feels like but happy with my purple shoes – make sure to measure your feet to ensure you get the best fit)
  • Love the bright colours
  • The wool inside makes it super soft and comfortable and my feet are always so warm
  • The bottom of the shoe has a great grip for a moccasin and since I live somewhere wet and cold this is great for the Blue Mountains.
  • I would recommend them to friends and family as they are stylish and keep your feet warm.

4 Weeks till Christmas

When I get some presents they will look just as wonderful! Image courtesy of thephotoholic at FreeDigitalPhotos.net
When I get some presents they will look just as wonderful! Image courtesy of thephotoholic at FreeDigitalPhotos.net

Today is the 25th of November and it is 4 weeks till Christmas. I am usually much more organised and switched on, but this year I have no clue of what to get people. Yes a big fail for me. Are you in this boat too? Or are you super organised and will put me to shame.

I must say the kids have been pushing the limits lately so maybe I tried to block the whole idea of Christmas out of my head! I did mutter at one stage that Christmas is cancelled. This as you can imagine got kids very upset and I told them that it will all be fine, as long as they are good and nice!

They asked a very clever question, “Mummy, can Santa hear us?” I then said yes he can. In hindsight maybe this was not a good move, as Santa sounds like a spy or a stalker. He does see you when you are sleeping and awake. Does this man have state of the art technology to help him? You can only wonder? Why is it that the poor mummies and daddies of this world are left to our own devices! Not fair I say.

So as it is in fact 4 weeks till the fateful Christmas Day I better step up. What to get the kids? I do have a few ideas but don’t want to spend up big (cannot afford it) and the fact that we don’t have heaps of space for things or even what we have now. I suppose I will have to take some things to the charity shops, get rid of some things and make room for more toys to come live with us or be scattered all over the house. I just hope they last more than a day.

The big question I now face is what to get family, and especially the husband! I am sure I will find something. The twins even are making secret presents at pre-school so they are all organised. Seems like it is just me.

I cannot be all bad, I have managed to purchase a gift for my secret person in FMS Secret Gift Exchange, and it was posted off today. I am super excited and hope the person I bought for likes it. I went with their favourite colour and the twins helped. They had a great time running around all the shops up here to help me pick something wonderful.

One other thing that I need to think about is gifts for the pre-school teachers. This is the girls last year of pre-school and they will be moving into Kindy next year. It is going to be such an emotional farewell and the kids are sad but extremely excited to start their next adventure at big school. I’m thinking of making shortbread and giving the teachers a nice candle each.

What are your thoughts? Send suggestions as it will all help. Have you got all organised for Christmas. It is only 4 weeks away! I don’t mean to worry you, but it is not long at all!

Busy

Kids and I had a big day out, off to get a check up for me, then off to centrelink to fill out forms and hand in paperwork, then off to the mail to check for more bills or letters, returned found book to library (Phew on that one), Went to Macca’s for lunch as a treat for the kids, then after lunch we went to Penrith to get shorts for daddy and to look around. Ended up getting new pj’s for the twins, singlets for the twins, three pairs of shorts for hubby (at a cheap price, they were marked down. Thank you Lowes), Some more shoes for the kids as they are growing and with winter they need sturdy shoes for being in the bush and winter. I even got a surprise for my cousin’s four month old twins thanks to Target.

After all that shopping and telling kids to stop touching things and to get out of the clothes racks, we went and looked the animals at the pet shop. After looking and some cute animals we found the car and drove home.  I am tired and glad that the kids were not mucking up too much. They did not go to bed straight away and were still up at 9pm chatting away. The time is 10:56pm and they are passed out. Lillian took her pillows so that she could sleep at the bottom of Julia’s bed. Do you think this means they will sleep in? I can only hope…. maybe I might get my wish?

Both kids are in their new pj’s and they are rather big considering the others they have, maybe I should have purchased the smaller size. I like to have a larger size in bed as it is nice to be not too confined, and I am sure they will grow into it. Maybe I can fix it up so they can let it out once they are bigger.

One win today was the fact that they messed up their room playing and called daddy and I in to see their room. I was worried as normally this means it is terrible and hours later we are still tidying it up, but it was not this time. Hold on to your seats. They tidied it all up and made their beds and put all teddies neatly on their beds for bed time. What good little girls. Maybe me making them tidy up after them is starting to kick in. I really hope so.

How has your day been? I am off to get into my pj’s and to go and brush my teeth before bed. I am looking forward to crashing my head on the pillow and passing out to nice dreams.

Why not continue the discussion on our Twitter or Facebook pages.

PS. Skin check was clear, nothing to worry about, all normal. So great news considering I left it six years for this check up.

Time off – well just for a bit

I had an appointment for my second microderm and oxygen facial, it went better than last time so that is a plus. The other plus was that I was on my own, so a day to myself, shopping, having lunch, looking at window shopping and able to do whatever I wanted. It was so nice to have this time to myself.

After the facial I popped off to The Good Guys and purchased a juicer. We are now going to give a juice fast a go, I know sounds crazy but it worked for Joe Cross the guy who created the film: Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. Joe was overweight and suffered from an autoimmune disease and thought that eating vegetables and fruit juiced is the way to go. Joe managed to lose the weight and during the weeks of the fast lowered his drugs for his disease he was taking. By the end of the fast he managed to keep off the weight and not be on any drugs for his condition. It was a very positive film and inspirational. Check IMDB for more info on this film. James and I think that it might help us and who knows, at least having fresh healthy juice has to be a bonus. So we will see.  Cannot start the fast yet as we are booked in for a Valentines dinner, so that will have to happen first.

Now having the juicer in my hot little hands, I headed to the shopping centre to see if I could visit with Auntie Denise, no luck there, it was her day off yet again. Oh well, then I went off to have lunch and to relax for a bit. After lunch I went off to Sussan’s as I had a gift voucher from Christmas and managed to purchase a really nice skirt. Who knew stripes could be so flattering. Managed to see a cheap skirt also in Target and it is more for the cooler weather so just the thing for Katoomba. One thing that I thought was interesting to see in Target was that Dita Von Teese is selling lingere there as well, she has her own label. Interesting. Pity that it all looked small and not for sizes like me. I am a little busty than normal and it is very sad that the sexy feel good underwear is never available in my size. It would be nice if for once these type of things were easily accessible,  in my size, and reasonably priced. Oh well, maybe after the diet and some more exercise I might be skinnier. 🙂

It was nice to have some me time and wish there was more of it.  Only a couple of sleeps until the girls start school, so that is exciting and good for them and me. Now still need to find that battery charger for the camera. Still have had no luck. Might have to take pictures on the camera after all. So project find camera battery tomorrow or think of what to do about it.

Update: After I got home with all my shopping and especially the new juicer. James could not wait and opened and cleaned the bits that you need to. Then he did a test juice. Nice fresh orange juice. YUM!!! It is so quiet compared to others from years ago. Very impressed. Now need to get recipes and vegetables and more fruits to help make our juices.

Visiting and shopping

Today was a day of cleaning, and washing more clothes, until it turned overcast and rained. The girls wanted to visit their friends at childcare. They are not going to childcare this year as next week they start pre-school. Yes I said next week. It is that close. I am getting excited and a bit nervous. I know, the girls are going to school not me, but you would have thought that I was going.  Since they have been asking to visit their mates, I thought why not. We all got ready to leave the house, showered and dressed in all nice outfits.

I put Julia in her dress and she said, “Mummy, I love this dress, I want to keep it on for 100 years.” I said that is nice, I am glad you like it. I did have a chuckle about it. I had this vision of Julia still wearing the same dress in 100 years.  I don’t think that would be a good look.

Julia and Lillian were very happy to see their friends, Zoe, Piper, Zoe and Jed and others. They fit right in again, playing and getting hugged, kissed and kids queing to play with the girls. Glad they have friends. It made me a bit sad that we have taken the girls away from their mates at care, however it was going to happen eventually when they went to school.  They played in the sandpit, on the slippery dip and much more. Ran round like happy little things.  It was just an issue when I had to tell them we should be going, I wanted to go and get some groceries. It took a while but I eventually got the girls out the door and to the shops.

We ended up at Woolworth’s at Leura. Julia wanted to help me push the trolley and Lilian hung off the end of the trolley. Both girls helped me get items and looked out for things we might need. However what they thought we needed and what we really needed was not the same thing. I ended up telling them to put a lot of things back that I ended up feeling very exhausted. They were very happy helping and were proud to tell anyone there that they were my helper.

At the checkout the girls were climbing the trolley to lift out items to put on the checkout. Everyone thought they were doing a very good job at helping. All items were at the register and just waiting to pay. I put the card in to pay and Julia asked to take it out when ready. This is cute, however you need to really let her know when she can take it out as she gets very keen.

Glad that the girls were tired as after dinner, Daddy came home and then off to bed. They must be tired as have not heard a peep out of them since. Both girls are still wanting to share a bed and don’t like to be seperated. This is good and bad, as for activities when one child does not want to play the game anymore, the other child has a melt down and gets angry and tries to make the other play with them. They don’t get that they can do the game/draw/paint themselves without the other. Lillian in the evening moves house, well that is what I am calling it. She takes her pillow and teddies from her bed and puts it on the end of Julia’s bed. They end up sleeping head to toe. They seem happy, however it has a downside, sometimes the girls push the other child out of the bed, and then there is screams “too squishy”, “Don’t, and No”. So from our perspective they need to sleep in their own bed for the space and a better sleep.

Sharing the bed might be a twin thing as they are so close. They do seem to not be able to do anything on their own. I am hoping that school will help with that. I suppose we will see. Do you have kids that do the same thing? Are they twins or just close in age?

Well done girls and especially Julia

The girls went out and about with Daddy this morning as I am not feeling the best.  The girls were all dressed up and were not in nappies yet again, yeah!  While at the hardware store Julia looked like she needed to go to the toliet, Daddy asked if she needed to go and she said yes. He asked if she could hold on. He explained that he had no nappies, or the potty with him and that she needed to wait if she could. She said she could wait.

They then finished at the hardware store and Daddy wanted to go to the shops to get some food. He asked Julia if she was o.k to go to the shops or should they go home. Julia said that she could wait and they should go to the shops. She was a very good girl and hung on and waited until they all got home to go to the toliet. Very proud of her to have done this, just a great thing to have done.

Julia also on Australia Day told us she needed to go while we were on our way to the airfield, she gave me the look that she could not wait and she needed to go now. It was a very intense look with eyes open wide to express the urgency. We stopped along the road, I raced out of the car and in my haste thought it was Lillian that needed to go. She told me, “Not me mummy”. I then realised and got Julia out and the potty out and all was good.

What great progress we are making and big girls they are becoming. To think I was worried that they would never be potty trained before pre-school. I am so pleased that they are doing so well and ready and on that note that I only have 17 sleeps to go till the girls start pre-school.
