A Glittery Play Date

Glitter Playdough
Glitter Playdough

Today the girls are having one of their friends from school over. Yes they are very excited about having a play-date. I made glitter play dough late last night and they have no idea, it is going to be a great surprise for all three girls. Yesterday I tidied and did a lot of work, still heaps more to do but got a lot done. Now to put finishing touches on things. Wish I made it to the shops yesterday but maybe we can go this afternoon. Hope that we have enough for the play date, think it will be o.k.

Think the weather will be o.k but if not the kids can play in the living room. Have you had many play dates these holidays? Have not had any? Rather go to the park? Parks and kids is easier as they have more space. What activities if you have had play dates did you organise for the kids or did you let them run and create their own fun. I usually let them create their own fun but the girls want to play with play dough.

Play Date Cards – Download the template

Play date card
Play date card

Have you been in the situation where you would like to organise a play date and don’t have your details handy to give to the other parent?

Well this has happened to me many times. The girls desperately wanted to visit other kids houses for a play date and I  of course needed to swap contact details with the other parents.

To make it easier to have details on hand, I have created a play date card. This way I am ready when the opportunity presents to give my details quickly to the other parent.

I have adopted a template for business cards in Microsoft Word so might not be ideal to change things, although it is a bit clumsy for my first attempt, you can change the text, picture, colours and move things around.

The only down side currently is that when you change one the others don’t change. I am going to do some more and will figure out how to have that function available next time.

So I hope you enjoy these that you can make your own, with your pictures and info:

I found the black and white ones came out the best. I printed on a thicker card but not too thick to not go through the printer. I purchased 4 sheets from the news agency at 50 cents each, so that is quite cheap to do rather than spend a fortune with designed ones.

Give it a go, change it to make it more you, and I am sure your kids will be happy with more play dates with their friends.

This is going to come in handy this afternoon as I can distribute my new cards, and book in some play dates for the twins.

Have you made your own play date cards? Were they a hit?

I will give it another go and put some more up soon. Send in your comments.
