With a family that has 8 kids, going to the easter show is something impossible on only 1 salary.Winning this means that there is a chance to go and show the kids what the easter show is all about

The animals, the food, the beer and wine,
The whole family will have a cracking good time,
    Dog shows, woodchopping, exhibits galore,
Sounds, tastes and smells we adore.
My family go wild as we enter the front gate,
And boy do the kids sleep when we get home late!

Without spending money on entry tickets, I can afford to have a proper lunch at the venue rather than tasting sample food at the Woolies dome as lunch. Cannot believe how much my kids can spend on rides asks show bags!

Winning tickets to the Sydney Royal Easter Show would be the perfect surprise for the kiddies, each year my 9 and 5 year olds see the ads on TV and ask to go they’ve only ever been to our small home town show they’d have no idea just how big The Easter Show would be. My Grandmother use to take me when I was little so lots of fond memories 🙂

I can’t believe the time is near
Soon we’ll be going to the Show
To marvel at all the attractions
    Until evenings rainbow neon glow.

    The atmosphere is amazing
As we enjoy a thrilling ride
    Or pop into a pavilion
    And check out what’s inside.

We’ll go and grab a show bag
    Full of amazing treats
Then go and watch the daredevils
    Pull off amazing feats.

We can go and pat an animal
    A pig, chicken or cow
Or any of a dozen more
That are all here, right now.

    Rides, show bags and animals
Are only part of the Show’s allure
    It’s the whole amazing experience
That keeps us coming back for more.

I recall going to the Sydney Easter Show many, many years ago with my parents when I was little at the old grounds at Moore Park. Although my Mum now is in a wheelchair I’m sure she’d love the experience of seeing the Easter Show at Sydney Showground and this would bring happy memories flooding back of all the family having a fun family day out.

We’d love to win these tickets, as a kid, I never went to the show, and that’s because mum couldn’t afford it with 10 of us… This is my baby’s first Easter, and what other way to celebrate than to visit all the baby animals at the show.

The excitement of the carnival rides, showbags with little treasures inside.
Fireworks bursting into the sky, the Aussie icon of a meat pie.
Motorbikes doing death defying tricks, the gastronomic delight of cheese on a stick.
You know what I hope though, with over thirty years of never seeing all we can?
Finally this year, someone has a plan!

My 4 year old’s preschool teacher asked her if she was going to the Easter Show this year and my daughter asked, “What’s the Easter Show?!” Oops. Bad parents have not taken her yet. We were waiting until she was old enough to survive a whole day of excitement and walking!

The Easter Show is always such a wonderful day for everyone.

Last time we went my (then) 5 year old and I had a sack race that ended up with us both rolling around laughing hysterically as he beat me by a country mile! It’s such a fun memory. And sack racing? It’s really hard!
