The wonderful people from Beetle Bottoms sent me some wonderful products to try. The products promote fun in nature, your own backyard, literacy and of course are fun to use. The products are a mixture of games, books and wall decals.

Who is Beetle Bottoms?

Beetle Bottoms is a family run business aimed at educational and creative products for kids.  They work on using play for learning and keep it fun. Fiona Whyte the mother of the team is the artist that illustrates all Beetle Bottoms products. Fiona is a well exhibited artist and has paintings and sculptures that are in corporate and private collections throughout the world.

What type of products do Beetle Bottoms have?

  • Educational Games
  • Books
  • Removable Wall Decals
  • Gift Cards

The images on Beetle Bottom products are cute, colourful and my girls just adore them. They loved the fairy like characters and are now on the look out for Beetle Bottoms in the backyard.

My girls had a great time playing the snap game and memory game. They loved winning the cards and being able to match each character. I was impressed that each child soon learned all the characters and are now telling hubby and I who each person or creature is.

I was very taken with the educational games. One of them is called Story Play. Story cards give you an idea for a story and then you have to continue it or even finish the story with what you think will happen next. Your own adventure story. The girls wanted to draw the characters from the story cards and we had a great time inventing what happens with the story next.  This is a wonderful game and idea as it allows the child to be creative and create their own story, it makes the story unique and is fun to play. Beetle bottoms on their website have great ideas on how to play this game and you can get more ideas there.

The one thing that the twins were really looking forward to was the decals for their room. They bugged me and hubby to put them up. Each child picked a spot for each decal and now the room is all decorated with new pretty decals on the wall, all thanks to Beetle Bottoms. They have certainly made the room look wonderful.

My daughter is really shy so games that encourage her to talk and interact with others is a big bonus. These characters would be really appealing, especially since we spend time on her Grandparents farm. It is nice to see games that are open ended, so every one can join in and use their fantastic imaginations.
